This policy explains how The Price PK editorial team selects, researches, updates, and corrects content on thepricepk.com. Our goal is to make each published page useful on its own and transparent about what has—and has not—been verified.

Source standards

We choose sources in this order whenever they are available:

  1. Official manufacturer pages, price lists, press releases, and manuals.
  2. Authorized distributors, official stores, and established market retailers.
  3. Specialist reference sources when an official page omits an important detail.

A source must match the product, variant, and country market closely enough to support the claim. Category or search pages may help discovery, but an exact product page is preferred. Product pages display the available price and official specification links.

Price methodology

  • The displayed figure is an observed or documented reference price, not a live quote.
  • A crossed-out amount is a comparison reference, not a guaranteed saving.
  • We describe known exclusions such as tax, freight, registration, or installation.
  • We do not invent availability, stock counts, seller ratings, or reader ratings.
  • Older records are flagged for rechecking rather than presented as guaranteed current.

Original value and product guidance

Specifications alone do not make a useful buying page. We add category-specific checks, variant context, market caveats, and direct source access. We do not claim hands-on testing unless the article clearly states who tested the product, how it was tested, and when.

Reviews and moderation

Reader reviews enter a moderation queue. We reject spam, copied text, links, abusive material, irrelevant submissions, undisclosed promotion, and claims that cannot safely be published. A product rating is calculated only from approved reader reviews; catalog data is never used as a substitute for reviews.

Advertising and commercial influence

Advertising may fund the website but does not determine product facts, correction outcomes, or editorial guidance. Ads are visually supplied by the advertising provider. We do not accept payment to disguise promotion as an independent listing. Any sponsored or affiliate relationship will be disclosed near the relevant content.

Corrections process

To request a correction, use the contact page and include the page URL, the disputed detail, and a reliable source. We compare the evidence, update or remove unsupported information, and retain internal records where needed to prevent the same error recurring. Significant unresolved uncertainty is disclosed on the page.

Artificial intelligence and automation

Automation may assist with formatting, duplicate detection, and audits, but it must not be used to fabricate products, prices, stock, ratings, sources, or personal experience. Pages created only to increase catalog size are not part of our publication standard.
