DevDoor Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Android apps published on Google Play by DevDoor that link to this page. Features differ between apps, so the sections below apply when an app includes the described feature or service. Our currently covered apps do not require a DevDoor account or use a DevDoor backend to upload app-created content. Advertising, diagnostics, analytics, configuration, and purchases can still involve the third-party services described below. ThePricePK hosts this policy for DevDoor; its website practices are described in the website privacy policy.

Information kept on your device

Depending on the app, information you create or choose may include game progress and scores, a local profile name, preferences, plans and notes, selected photos, reminder settings, or saved device-test results. This information is used to provide the feature you chose. It is stored in the app's local storage, not uploaded to DevDoor. Where an app offers a reset or clear-data option, you can use it to remove the relevant local information. You can also clear the app's data in Android settings or uninstall it.

Optional device access and notifications

An app may request access to a selected photo or, only when you start a relevant device test, to the camera, microphone, foreground location, Bluetooth state, NFC, hardware sensors, battery, or network state. A selected photo may be copied into local app storage for a feature you choose. Device-test photos and microphone samples are held temporarily in the app cache and deleted after the test; live test coordinates remain in memory during the test and are not saved to its reports. Android handles biometric identity, while an app receives only the test's success, failure, or cancellation result, not a biometric template. These feature data are not uploaded to DevDoor.

Apps with optional reminders schedule notifications on the device after you grant notification permission. A reminder may show user-entered content on the lock screen. You can turn reminders off in the app or Android settings.

Advertising

Some DevDoor apps show ads through Google AdMob or Yandex Mobile Ads. When an ad service is enabled, its SDK can receive device or advertising identifiers, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, and diagnostics. These data are used to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. Google may share data with its ad partners. The data go to the ad provider, not a DevDoor backend. See Google's Privacy Policy and Yandex's Privacy Policy for their handling and retention practices.

Where required, ad-supported apps ask for advertising consent before loading ads. If an app provides ad privacy controls, you can reopen them in its Settings. Android settings let you reset or delete the advertising ID. Clearing an app's local data does not delete information already handled by an ad provider.

Firebase services

Some apps use Google Firebase Analytics to measure app screens and usage events, Crashlytics to receive crash and error diagnostics, or Remote Config to obtain app settings. Depending on the service, Google can process app or installation identifiers, device details, usage events, crash traces, and diagnostics. The use of these services does not upload your locally saved game progress, notes, photos, or device-test history to a DevDoor backend. See Firebase privacy information for Google's handling, security, retention, and deletion practices.

Google Play purchases, where offered

If an app offers an in-app purchase or subscription, Google Play processes the payment. The app may receive a product identifier, purchase status, and purchase token to provide or restore the purchased feature. DevDoor does not receive your full payment-card details or operate its own purchase-processing backend. Purchase records handled by Google Play follow Google's Privacy Policy. An app without purchases does not use this feature.

Security, retention, and deletion

Locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it using an available in-app control, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Temporary test media are deleted after their tests. Google states that its Mobile Ads and Firebase SDK data are encrypted in transit. Information handled by Google or Yandex follows those providers' retention and deletion practices; uninstalling an app does not by itself delete their existing records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children and policy changes

Apps currently covered by this policy are not directed to children under 13. We review this policy when an app, permission, or third-party service changes. A new DevDoor app can use this same URL only when its actual data practices are covered here; we will update the page before a new kind of data handling begins. Material changes will be posted here.
